Article: Void - G.I

I see a lot of people and I just know they've lost it... No, we've lost it,
We set standards for perfection by what the world places it to be...,
We can't reach it eventually so we run,
We think heaven is unachieveable so we act non-challant like we don't care,
We mistake our faith for religion and Christianity for doctrines then we call it a bore

We make attempts to lose ourselves in things we term as fun,
Pleasures that are emptiness in shining foil,
Sex, alcohol, carelessness, lasciviousness, lust and folly...
...telling ourselves consoling stale tales to justify ourselves like...
...we only live once, alomo no dey heaven, Yansh no dey heaven,
And it is just a shame that we've allowed ourselves to be reduced to puppets
in the hands of sin that we dare to compare the majesty that awaits us,
to baseless thrones, thrones without foundations, crowns without precious stones,
Comparing diamond to clear stones

It is not clear that the personality that created this much has capability to do better,
At first it seems like we are having fun and living the life...
But then we feel empty and emptiness weighs the more.
It is too late sometimes to realize that peace of mind, the joy of love of Christ,
the superiority of God's grace is more overwhelming and satisfying,
It's too late sometimes before the mystery of how no matter how much fun you have living
carelessly you are never satisfied... How that depth is never filled... hits hard

More sticks of cigarettes, more bottles...
More weed, more girls, more parties...
It is never just enough.
The more you do, the more you want to do,
The more you acquire, the more you want to acquire,
The depth is never covered up,
The emptiness is never filled up,
Because inasmuch as you want to deceive yourself,
You know it's no life you are living..
...and then you cry at night and just wonder what's wrong with you

Then we condemn ourselves by ourselves when our sins have long been forgiven
And we start our worthless cycle again out of ignorance of the fact that
in Christ, there is no condemnation.
No sin is too much, because He died,
That there is always room to be forgiven,
That there is enough love in the brotherhood of Christ to go round.
Enough grace.
Enough fulfillment, satisfaction and peace of mind.
